Photograph by R. E. Halling, © 2004 We have this agaric for the first time from leaf litter on the summit of Cerro de la Muerte in the Talamancas. The brownish gray pileus, orange, marginate lamellae, strigose stipe base with additional orange pigmentation are distinctive field characters.
