Description: Digital, free, and peer-reviewed journal on archival science, focused on an interdisciplinary use of theory and practice, in order to find answers to the information science problems.
Archives & Social Studies Archives & Social Studies : A Journal of Interdisciplinary Research was born in 2007 and ceased publication in 2009. It was conceived as a free forum to draw the archival community attention on topics, not always directly related to archival science, but capable of expanding reflection towards alternative spaces. For two years, and four issues, outstanding researchers and practitioners published 50 interdisciplinary articles. We believe that this knowledge base must be preserved, and want to archive these texts, to serve the archival community. On this page, you can find the articles written for A&SS. We are sure they still are useful, and hope some day we will be able to recommence the project and provide our profession with alternate and new thinking.
