Creamed Brussel Sprouts - Recipe - Cooks.com Soak cleaned brussel sprouts in cold water for 15 minutes. Drain, then place in boiling water for 5 minutes (just enough water to cover). Drain again. Melt butter, blend in flour, add cream and stir until smooth. Add brussel sprouts, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes or until tender. Add mace and nutmeg to taste. Serves 6 to 8.
