THE LEICESTER LONG COURSE SPRINT MEET 2014 click here-> Nine swimmers from the Podium Squad attend the Euro Open Meet in Luxembourg. With 700 swimmers from Europe taking part, it was a tough three days for the group making eight 'A' finals and 12 'B' finals against many senior internationals. Candice Hall won a silver medal in the 400IM when she clocked a five-second PB to only be beaten by Hungarian world champion Katinka Hosszu. Hall also made the 'A' final in the 200IM, where she finished fifth and the 200m backstroke, fourth. Harriet West featured in three 'A' finals, finishing eighth each time in the 2000m butterfly, 50m butterfly and 100m butterfly. She was also 10th in the 50m backstroke 'B' final. Megan Morrison featured in four 'B' finals, coming home third in the 50m breaststroke, second in the 200m breaststroke, 10th in the 100m butterfly and fifth in the 100m breaststroke Dani Tomlinson was seventh in the 'B' final of the 50m breaststroke. Jack Warren-Ballard made the 'A' final of the 200m backstroke and finished ninth and was sixth in the 'B' final of the 100m backstroke. Jamie Thorpe was in the B final in all his swims, finishing third in the 50m butterfly second in the 100m butterfly, third in the 50m Freestyle and seventh in the 100m Freestyle. Elliot Tointon was sixth in the 'B' final of the 200m backstroke.
