DeAnza College - Track and Field

De Anza College :: Men's and Women's Track and Field :: Welcome Men's and Women's Track and Field 2012 Coast Conference Champions Dons Off to a Fast Start to Their Season The De Anza Men's Track and Field Team got off to a good start on Valentine's Day by unofficially winning the Coast Conference Preview over rival Hartnell.  The Dons were led by three 1-2 finishes on the day.  Elizer Pakoy and Michael Huang finished first and second in the 110HH in both of their first collegiate races.  Next at the High Jump also in their first meets as college athletes James Michelsen and Anthony Cota finished first and second, with both jumping 6'2" but Michelson having less misses edged out his teammate.  The third to last race of the day was the 200 and Sophomore Anthony Greene edged out teammate Deeric Crockett by .08 to finish first and second in the race.  The women finished in second, behind Hartnell in unofficial scoring.  The women had no champions on the day, but finished second in the 4x100 relay, Jacqueline Lamb finished second in the 400 hurdles, and freshman Marisa D'Orfani finishing second in the 3000 meter run.  The Dons will next be in action at the Monterrey Peninsula College Open on Saturday Feb. 22nd.  Field events begin at 10 AM and running events begin at noon.
