U11 Rockers Red prevailed in State Cup, winning first place in their Platinum bracket. Led by coach Rob Funes, the girls worked beautifully as a team to trounce tough competition. Ellie Flad scored the winning goal in a tight 1/0 game. Congratulations to all the girls!

| Description: | On an unseasonably warm January weekend in Turlock, the U11 Rockers, coached by Rob Funes, won the State 2 bracket of the Norcal Premier Soccer State Cup tournament, finishing 9th out of 144 teams in Northern California! Key victoires against powerhouse clubs in the first two rounds of the tournament propelled the Rockers to the 14th seed going into the final round of the State Cup. Three strong opponents and three decisive victories later, the Rockers came out on top with an impressive 3-1 win to claim the championship for the bracket. This special group of players has worked together and played hard against top ranked teams since August, and the girls' determination and teamwork really paid off last weekend at the championships. Congratulations to Coach rob and the #9 U11 Rockers! |
