Langara. Athletics & Intramurals: Soccer (Men's) Langara. The College of Higher Learning. Congratulations go out to our Falcons that have been voted PACWEST All-Stars. In their first game of the weekend the Falcons men faced off against a powerful UBCO Heat team. The Heat got off to a strong start and quickly found themselves with a two goal lead. The Falcons seem to regroup at half time and began to develop some scoring opportunities. They put a lot of pressure on the Heat backline, but were unable to find the net. UBCO scored somewhat against the flow of play midway through the second half, on a beautiful turnaround shot that goalkeeper Noah Pawlowski had no chance on. The Falcons were finally able to capitalize on their pressure when Brett Wiens headed one in off a corner kick, and added a second goal from the head of Arved Poetter to pull within one, but time ran out and the Heat took the game 3-2.
