Webber to retire from F1 for Porsche sportscar bid Mark Webber surprised some in his Red Bull team by announcing he is to end his F1 tenure this year and join Porsche as lead driver in their sportscar return. Team boss Horner was informed just "5 minutes" before the public stating: "His achievements in Formula One are extensive", adding, "we support Mark's decision." This comes on the eve of the team's home race at Silverstone.
