Ju Jitsu is a Japanese martial art that originated in about the 8 Century. The name translates roughly as "yielding techniques" and the art encompasses a huge body of knowledge ranging from throwing techniques to locking techniques to studies of pressure points. The disciplines of Aikido and Judo both came from Ju Jitsu.
