Dr. John McKnight & Family 196858 Grey Road #7, (Eric Winkler Parkway) Northfields is a family run Standardbred operation located in the Meaford/Thornbury area of Ontario. 200 acres of limestone-based land on the Niagara Escarpment provide the nutritional foundation for developing sound bone and muscle in our yearlings. Combined with loose-housing facilities and lots of room, this creates the ideal healthy environment to raise competitive athletes. Right up to shipping to the sale, they continue to exercise in the group environment. Bumps and scars resulting from the interaction are a small price to pay to instill the competitive attitude needed later in the racing wars. The fresh air certainly has no adverse effect on the respiratory system. If you are looking for a hot-housed yearling, this is not the place.
