Description: A Junior precision Western Drill Team established in 1991 as a non-profit organization for young riders age 9 thru 20 representing Clark County, Washington throughout the west at competitions, rodeos, parades, and horse shows.
Clark County's Premiere Youth Drill Team Established in 1991, The team is a non-profit organization for young riders age 9 thru 20. They have represented Clark County throughout the west at competitions, rodeos, parades, and horse shows. The Team is under the direction of Joan Moore as drillmaster. Experienced riders ages 12-18 are invited to join. ============================================================================================ In June 1998 they performed in Reno, Nevada at the Western States Drill competition as part of that city's Reno Rodeo Days. The Team finished third in the competition and took first place as the best uniformed junior mounted group in the Reno Rodeo Parade. ============================================================================================ They also competed throughout Oregon and Washington against these states best teams. Latigo 'n Lace currently holds the Oregon Horsemans Association Youth Division High Point Drill Team Championship for the third consecutive year. ============================================================================================ In September 1998 the Team captured first prize at the Oregon State Fair drill team competition in Salem, Oregon for the second year in a row. ============================================================================================ Going to Calgary! Clark County's Youth Equestrian Drill Team Latigo 'N Lace has been invited to represent the Clark County horse community by competing in EquiDance 2000 at this summer's Calgary Stampede. This honor is shared with only four other youth teams from the United States and Canada. Latigo 'N Lace has always received generous support from this area's individuals and businesses. They are currently seeking donations to help offset the trip expenses.
