Stockholm International Cricket Club Stockholm International Cricket Club Ghazanfar Abbas, Murtaza Jaffrey, Zabir Khan, Irtiza Khan, Anwar Jamil, Naveed Hashmi, Ishat Ahmed and Qamar Chowdhry are the people who laid the foundation of this great cricket club in 1980. At that time there was only one more cricket club in Sweden. There were many people from the subcontinent living here in Stockholm who really needed a platform to enjoy and exploit their cricket skills and the making of Pakistan Cricket Club was just the need of the time. As you would understand that Sweden had no cricket history, it became very difficult to convince local government authorities that these foreigners needed a huge ground where they could play their cricket. But people mentioned above were determined and focused. They knew precisely what they wanted and they never thought of giving it up. They really did their home work and at last they succeeded to get the permission and desired area to play cricket on.
