Jamie Moyer and Matt Stairs and will be hired by Comcast to serve as announcers for Phillies television broadcasts. Intitially, the two positions were to be combined into one, but Comcast changed its tune after positive auditions from both Moyer and Stairs (who was just in town for Wing Bowl). It is not yet clear how the time in the booth will be split up between them and play-by-play announcer Tom McCarthy. Moyer pitched in the majors for 25 years, notching his last win with the Rockies at the age of 49. He was on the Phillies starting rotation from 2006-10, and started Game 3 of the 2008 World Series. Stairs is best known for the game-winning home run he hit in the 2008 NLCS, giving the Phillies a 7-5 lead after trailing the Dodgers 5-3.
