Description: | Skanda Vale is a multi-faith ashram in South Wales, UK. We hold 6 pujas every day in our three temples: The Murugan Temple, Maha Shakti Temple and Sri Ranganatha Temple. The ashram is home to around 25 monks, nuns, and resident lay members who work throughout the day caring for the terminally ill at Skanda Vale Hospice, looking after a large number of animals, and caring for an annual congregation of 90,000 pilgrims. Skanda Vale is completely independent from any other organisation, and free from commercialism: all pujas, meals and accommodation are offered free of charge, and all our income is from anonymous voluntary donations. Skanda Vale is founded on the teachings of Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita. |
