Retreat Centers | Wedding Receptions | Louisville Retreat Centers | Oldham County | Kentucky Kavanaugh is a retreat facility, conference center and a beautiful facility to hold wedding receptions and group events. The Center was founded in 1875 by Bishop H. H. Kavanaugh who had a dream to carve out a piece of God's creation and maintain it as a place for ministry, renewal and fellowship. Times have changed, but we are still carrying out Bishop Kavanaugh's dream on 55 acres of creation affectionately referred to as "holy Ground". Approximately 37 acres of our beautiful facility are designated forest land where you will find walking trails and benches along these trails for rest, reflection, prayer or simply taking in the sights and sounds of the woods. On the ground you will find a place for a game of volleyball, horseshoes, softball, space for bonfires, hay rides, and more to make your stay here enjoyable and memorable.
