K computes at a speed in excess of ten thousand trillion floating point operations in one second. A team of programmers programmed K to simulate 1 second of 1% of the processing power of the human brain. It took years to write the program and it K 40 minutes to run it. The brain processes this 1% 2400 times as fast as K, or the equivilant of 124 trillion timed, organized computations
