Chaplain Services, Inc. Grand Rapids, MI Chaplain ministry is a great opportunity to connect with people and hear their stories. After over ten years of serving as a chaplain I continue to be amazed at how important is to be present with someone and listen to their stories. Life can throw many unexpected curves and most of us tend try to keep things to ourselves and act as if everything is ok. But after a while the accumulated stress can get to us and we need a place to let it out. Chaplains are trained and skilled at listening to the concerns and stories of others, giving them the opportunity to share what is going on with them. They provide a safe place to be open about what is going on with someone who genuinely cares. We cannot always change or fix our circumstances but we can be there for each other as we walk through them together.
