Tomorrow we gather around Jesus’ name, ETERNAL FATHER. This unusual name for Jesus comes from Isaiah 9:6; “For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, EVERLASTING (ETERNAL) FATHER, Prince of Peace.†In the ‘Names of Jesus’ brochure that many of us are using as our guide in this journey we read this means “Jesus is forever. Christ had no beginning and has no end. He is the source of time, space and all creation.â€Â  I don’t know about you but for me this means that my whole life is a daily journey of ‘surrendering each day to Jesus as Lord.’ (Central’s Discipleship Pathway)
