In the face of discord, we value education, critical thinking, and discussion. Since many scientific explanations are at odds with what appears to be true, it is unsurprising that many people do not accept science when it conflicts with other teachings. Therefore, this group is tasked with investigating the division between science and the public and is asked to find new ways to communicate scientific ideas that are appealing and understandable by all.
