St Georges Lodge No. 6 F.&A.M. Making good men better in Schenctady since 1774 Masonry teaches many lessons, some in the form of ritual, some through the symbols and landmarks of the craft and some from the many documents and artifacts that give insight into the history and meaning of our craft. Yet all of these are just vehicles which enable each of us, through contemplation, introspection, study, fellowship and experience, to become better men and Masons. The high, the low, the rich, the poor, we all come together as members of the craft and we each take from it our own meaning. The regular communications of the lodge and various special programs throughout the year create an opportunity for each Mason to better understand his craft, and in doing so, to better understand himself.
