E Komo Mai | Hawaiian Humane Society © 2014 Hawaiian Humane Society February 28 marks the three-year anniversary of the rescue of more than 150 breeding dogs in what became known as the Waimanalo puppy mill rescue. We remember all of these dogs who suffered for the sake of profit along with the many cases we led over the years involving neglected and abused purebreds who suffered in Hawaii's puppy trade.
