With a total area of 19.7 square miles, 16 square miles is land and 3.7 square miles is water. Bisected by Routes 70 and 140, Boylston is also serviced by two Interchanges of Interstate 290; Exit 23B in Shrewsbury, and Exit 24 in Northborough. The Wachusett Reservoir, Boston's water supply, lies in the northwestern part of the Town and covers about 5,000 acres of land. The Town maintains approximately 45 miles of roadway and 9 miles of sidewalks. The Towns of Shrewsbury, West Boylston, Clinton, Berlin, and Northborough border Boylston.
