A website for the Donadea 9/11 Memorial A unique memorial was announced on 20th August 2003 in Donadea, County Kildare. Mayor Michael Fitzpatrick, Mayor of Kildare, revealed that Donadea Forest Park was to be the site for a scale replica of the New York Twin Towers. The memorial stones, which are engraved with the names of the 402 public officials who died in the attack on the towers on September 11th 2001, was unveiled at a special ceremony in Donadea on Sunday, September 21st, 2003.
