There appears to be a rise in the number of children being diagnosed with autism. This neurobiological disorder can interfere with a child's ability to communicate, learn and fit in with others. A growing number of parents who care for these children believe that vaccines are to blame for the disorder, and went to Capitol Hill today to testify before a House committee. NPR's Michelle Trudeau and Vicky Que report on the vaccine connection to autism (there's no credible scientific evidence linking vaccines to autism), and the research into other possible causes, such as genetics.
