Arizona Marijuana Caregivers Association What is a Marijuana Designated Caregiver? A Designated Caregiver as outlined by Arizona law is a person that is registered with the State to provide access to medicinal marijuana for up to five patients in Arizona. Due to the very limited number of dispensaries throughout the State access to medical marijuana will also be very limited. Caregivers fill this gap by providing patients access to the medicine they need, without having to travel to a dispensary or grow the medication themselves.
