Ed Corey holds degrees in Zoology, Wildlife Sciences, and Botany from North Carolina State University, with a minor in Forestry. As Inventory Biologist for the North Carolina Division of Parks and Recreation, Ed has developed a particular interest in insects, especially Lepidoptera (butterflies and moths), Orthoptera (grasshoppers, katydids and crickets), and Odonata (dragonflies and damselflies). Over the past eight years, Ed has surveyed the entire state park system for these unique insect species. Join one of North Carolina’s premier naturalists as he discusses the dragonflies and damselflies of the Triangle, along with their particular habitat preferences.
