Center for Southern Folklore - Home Rev. Taylor (1899-1977), was a man of many talents. Not only was he a minister, he was also a photographer, filmmaker, writer, recording artist and producer. Eventually, he became the de facto chronicler of everyday life in the pre Civil Rights African American community of Memphis. This exhibit showcases his art and the history he documented.
