pottery tools and fine craft home page I am Bob Carver, and I started making tools for potters in 1997 in a one car garage in California. Lana Wilson (the great ceramic artist) wanted the perfect bevel cutter to make a perfect fit for her clay altar style boxes, and I made it for her. After a stint in Texas, I am now living in the Baltimore MD area, and I have a 3 bay workshop and a storage shed! I still make all the tools myself (okay, my wife Lisa helps quite a bit). These pottery tools are all hand crafted from exotic hardwoods from managed growth forests, with a finish that is perfect for withstanding the acids involved in what you all love to do...play with clay.
