Description: Gourds crafted into birds, fruits and decorative objects.
I am intrigued and inspired by the fact that for thousands of years artists in cultures around the world, have engraved, carved and dyed gourds. The types of decorations that have been used to embellish these gourds are as diverse as the applications and the cultures from which they came. Many of my original designs capture the freedom and spirit of the designs of these early artisans.
