Vintage Chinese Figural Pastel Silk Embroidered Piano Shawl Long Coat Jacket This vintage antique Chinese figural pastel silk embroidered piano shawl long coat jacket dates from the 1920s. It is made of a off white color silk fabric background, with colorful pastel raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work. There is a lavishly lush floral foliage Chinese figural scenes with temples, gardens, birds, butterflies and frogs design completely covering the fabric. This exquisitely embroidered quality made jacket has a long loose fitting boxy style, with long full sleeves, an embroidered wide lapel collar, silk button front closures and is fully lined in silk inside. It was created from an antique 1920s finely embroidered Canton Chinese piano shawl fabric. The coat measures 39 inches long, with 38 inch hips, a 36 inch waist, 36 inch bust, 16 inch back and 23 inch long sleeves. It is in good condition, with a few faint small age spot stains on the front. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Chinese embroidery textile art.
