Achilleas Papadimitriou - Geotechnical Engineer, PhD , with emphasis on constitutive modeling of geomaterials, the development and use of numerical methods and earthquake geotechnical engineering. He was born in 1970 in Athens, Greece, where he completed his undergraduate education. He holds a Diploma degree in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (1993), a M.Sc in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1995) and a Ph.D. degree from the National Technical University of Athens (1999). Before joining the University of Thessaly, he worked as Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of California at Davis (2001-2002) and the National Technical University of Athens (2002-2006).
