Cayuga Language and the Cayuga Indian Tribe (Gayogohono) language of the Northeast Woodlands. Between one and two hundred Cayuga Indians still speak the language today, most in Ontario (though there are still a few Cayuga-speaking elders in New York State.) The language has been in decline, but some young Cayugas are working to keep their ancestral language alive.
