AEP, The Archaic English Project : Madhumisc AEP: The Archaic English Project The primary goal of the Archaic English Project was the resurrection of favorite archaic English words. Throughout the history of this language, from the Old English of 450 to the Modern English of today, many words have come and gone. It has been estimated that five-sixths of the words recorded in Old English have disappeared. (It has also been noted, however, that 90% of the words used on a daily basis are drawn from those that remain!)
