Gorgias (Rhetoric) Society, English Dept., UTA , founded in 1983, is a student organization interested in the study of Rhetoric and Composition theory and pedagogy. Every month the Gorgias Society hosts functions designed to provide occasions for conversation and a discusson of members' works; to provide reading lists of relevant materials; and to sponsor guest lectures by scholars in the the field of rhetoric and composition. The GS is open to all students--undergraduate and graduate--who share these common interests.
