Be sure to bring your sunscreen and summer clothing. You may need a light jacket in the evenings. Remember too that New York is in a drought emergency. Although recent rains have helped make up for the exceedingly dry winter, reservoirs serving the city are at only 80 percent of normal capacity. Many restaurants are serving water only on request and all buildings ask that your report leaky faucets. Please use water as sparingly as possible during your visit.
