Iowa Academy of Science and Research Learn about more research opportunities available through the Iowa Space Grant Consortium ( Journal of the Iowa Academy of Science (JIAS) The Journal of the Iowa Academy of Science (1987-present), formerly the Proceedings of the Iowa Academy of Science (1887-1987), is a peer reviewed journal abstracted in Biological Abstracts Index, BIOSIS, Cambridge Scientific Abstracts, Chemical Abstracts service, Recent Ornithological Literature, State Academies of Science Abstracts, and Wildlife Review. In 2004, JIAS became available in electronic format through EBSCO. Articles cover all areas of science, however recent volumes have concentrated more heavily on biological sciences, conservation, and Iowa related research. On occasion, the Academy has printed special additions including the 2000 special issue
