Department of Physics and Astronomy and USC Nanocenter My field of research is computational/theoretical nanophysics. Current research concerns investigation of charge and spin transport in molecules, semiconductor structures and other submicron electronic devices. This work includes investigation of fundamental aspects of transport in nano-scale systems, electron and nuclear spin relaxation mechanisms, simulation of dynamic of spin systems, study the influence of nuclear spin polarization on the electron system and vice-versa. Some of this work has focused on novel approaches to semiconductor device functioning, e.g. potential applications of nanostructures to quantum information and quantum computing. I am also interested in different aspects of transport in biological systems.
