Description: Construction using permutation groups, by George Sherwood.
Construction of Orthogonal Arrays and Covering Arrays Using Permutation Groups Orthogonal Arrays and Covering Arrays An alternate formulation is given for index one orthogonal arrays based on computer searches. Orthogonal arrays in diagonal form, and their elements' products, powers, and orders, are derived from first column vectors which result from the searches. Mapping operators relating the first column vectors for each number of levels (m) are described. A scheme for factoring the mapping operators is suggested also. Results are given for values of m which are primes, prime powers, and prime power products. An association between first column vectors and irreducible monic polynomials is made for selected prime power values of m.
