Description: Developed by Janicke Consulting (located in Danum, Germany), the Lagrangian Simulation of Aerosol Transport (LASAT) model utilizes stochastic processes to simulate numerically the transport and turbulent diffusion of a group of representative particles. LASAT has a preprocessor which calculates the meteorological profiles and three-dimensional wind fields required for the simulations.
A computer program for the calculation of pollutant dispersion in the atmosphere ransport) computes the transport of trace substances in the atmosphere. It simulates the dispersion and the transport of a representative sample of tracer particles utilizing a random walk process (Lagrangian simulation).
