ADW: Siren lacertina: INFORMATION Greater sirens are found in the southern and eastern United States, along the Atlantic and Gulf coastal plains. They can be found as far north as eastern Virginia and south through the southern tip of Florida, and as far west as southwestern Alabama. There are reports of a disjoint population occupying the Rio Grande valley of southern Texas and northern Mexico. However, further investigation is required to assess the relationship of the two populations.
