ADW: Pseudochirulus canescens: INFORMATION (Also: Daintree River ringtail) Daintree River ringtail possums ( ) are endemic to wet tropical regions in Australasia. These animals are found in northeastern Queensland, Australia, from Thornton Peak (Daintree) to the Carbine Tableland (Queensland Department of Environment and Heritage, 1992) as well as New Guinea, Japen, and the Salawatti Islands (Nowak, 1999).
