Description: Description of the species and photographs of shoots, foliage and bark.
Tree up to 20-30 m high in the wild, often with several trunks from base. Beautiful grayish to white bark, exfoliating in flakes, leaving then, reddish, green, brown or white patches. Needles bright green, 3 per group, 5-10 cm long, about 2 mm wide, sharply pointed. 1-2 ovoid brown cones. Hardy.
