Leeches, yuck. This is a common response in a world where most people think of leeches, if they think of them at all, as being horrible blood sucking monsters which the world would be better off without. I would like to encourage you to look again, leeches really are marvelously well evolved creatures, who generally do mankind far more good than bad.
