Description: Photograph and description.
A small sub-shrub, until to 1,5 m high. Leaves long-ovate to lance-shaped, 6 to 15 cm long, serrated, smelling of mint when crushed. Flowers lilac-purple or rose-purple, 7-8 mm long, freely borne in panicles (10-20 cm long) in August to October. After severe frost the stems are frozen down to the ground, but they reappear in the following spring.
