Description: Photographs of this species endemic to Australia.
Australian Wild Plant: Dryandra sessilis Parrot Bush which as its name suggests most often produces stalkless flowers, actually prefers poor soils as long as they are well drained. It is common throughout the south west of Australia and was thriving in the wets green conditions of the Foxes Lair reserve near Narrogin and the arid conditions of The Pinnacle desert. Honey eaters particularly like this shrub and as can be seen from the second large image, ants are fond of it too.
