Dendrobium lindleyi {Orchidaceae} This is a small-growing species of wide distribution in mountains of Southeast Asia. The pseudobulbs are tightly crowded, small, spindle-shaped to 3 in (8 cm) long with a single, leathery leaf up to 6 in (15 cm) long. The inflorescences are 4-12 in (10-30 cm) long and pendulous with 5 to 15 flowers, each about 2 in (5 cm) across, fragrant and lasting more than a week. It requires strong light and is best grown on a slab of wood or cork. Flowers are borne in spring.
