Common Redpoll  Winter 1997-1998 Survey In non-irruption years, Common Redpolls occur year-round from Newfoundland and Labrador, across northern Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan to southern Alaska. During an irruption year, this species’ winter range is highly variable; sometimes they are reported south to New Jersey across to Iowa in the Midwest and to Washington on the west coast.
