Clappertonia ficifolia {Malvaceae} bolo bolo Shrubs, 6-9 feet tall; young branches, petioles and peduncles densely reddish-stellate; leaves oblong to ovate, to 6 inches long, lobes 3-7, rounded, serrate; sepals lanceolate-oblong, 1-1.5 inches long, with dark glandular tip, petals pinkish-mauve or white, longer than sepals, fertile stamens with large, elongate anthers, longer than sterile staminodes, stigmas 4-8, purplish, reflexed; capsule about 2 inches long.
