Plants of Viñales: a pictorial guide - Aristolochia tigrina Woody, glabrous liana; leaves peltate, 1.5-3.2 cm long, 0.4-1 cm side, elliptic-oblong, obtuse and rounded at both ends, apex emarginate, margin planate; leaves glabrous; petiole 0.3-0.5 cm long; pseudostipules absent; peduncles 1-1.5 cm long, glabrous (including ovary); perigone straight to slightly arced, with red-purple spots in fresh material; utricle globous, 0.5 cm diameter; tube 0.3-0.5 cm long, about 0.2 cm diameter, surface 1-lobed, 0.5-1.3 cm long, the end extreme with verrucose outgrowths; stlye 6-lobed, with 6 anthers; capsule ovoid-globous, 1.5-2.5 cm long, 1.5 cm diameter; seeds ovoid, 5 mm long, 4 mm wide, with large side-wing; without raphe.
