Plants of Viñales: a pictorial guide - Anthurium venosum Plant growing from between rocks, rosulate; stem short, 2.5-3 cm diameter, cataphyll 4-5.5 cm long, 1-1.2 cm wide, rapidly transforming into a fibrous net; leaf surface 18-42 cm long, 8.5-24.5 cm wide, papery to almost coriaceous, ovate to ovate-oblong, with apex narrowly pointed to obtuse, tapering; base lightly heart-shaped, with basal lobes; peduncle terete; floral bract lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, almost coriaceous, green with purple margin, reflexed; floral spike attached directly or with stem; flowers close to anthesis dark purple, after anthesis brown-green; berry almost spherical to obovate, red-orange, with one seed.
